What we do
Regular Training (RT): $45
Regular training will consist of ball handling and dribbling, both with 1 and 2 balls, as well as weighted balls. All of the basic and next level single and double moves will then be used to test their decision-making. They will attack the rim and finish with layups, reverse layups, pull up jump shots, step backs, etc. The final piece of this training will be shooting. We will focus on their form and technique and look for ways to help enhance their shooting form.
Conditioning Training (CT): $50
Conditioning training will consist of all parts of the RT, except that the first 15-20 minutes will deal with conditioning their bodies. This will be through jump rope, push-ups, crunches, squats, dips, footwork, ladder work, hurdle work, and SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) drills.
Shooting Training (ST): $55
The shooting training will consist of nothing but shooting. We will spend 15 minutes looking at their shot by filming them on an app, Coach’s Eye, and then discussing what and how we want to improve. The remaining time will be dedicated to working on these changes and improvements.
Later that evening, I will voice over the video adding red, yellow and green marks (lines, circles, etc.) showing where arms and legs are, should be and need to be. Down the road, we can do another shooting lesson and then put both videos side by side to ensure we are seeing improvement.
What we provide?
Success
Preparation Meeting Opportunity
Our main focus at Progression Basketball is to help players of all ages continue to improve their overall basketball fundamentals and progress to their next level.
Conditioning
Each exercise will be 35-45 seconds of work, with the other 15-25 seconds of rest, to complete 1 minute. Completing each exercise will consist of one complete circuit.
Dribbling Drills
The ball-handling portion of the workout will consist of stationary ball-handling and dribbling drills. The dribbling drills will then progress to game like moves and situations.
Shooting Drills
This will consist of both one-handed and two-handed shooting drills. In this portion of the lesson, form and technique will be evaluated, and then help us to create proper drills to encourage a new proper form.

Performing drills that force our players to think
We instruct our players to perform drills that force them to think, to make quick decisions, which are the best kinds of drills because they increase not only a player’s skill set, but they help enhance their basketball IQ. These drills should be performed at game speed and should force the individual out of their comfort zone.
Some players naturally have a higher basketball IQ, while others have to work at it. But having a high basketball IQ is very important to understanding the game and how it's played. Players need to instinctively know what move, or moves, to use and how to execute those moves, to understanding different defenses and how to beat them to be able to get the ball where it needs to be. Having solid fundamentals is good, but knowing when, where, and how to use those fundamentals is exceptional. All this is part of Basketball IQ.
When players perform these drills at game speed, it allows them to play at the speed necessary to be successful in a game. These drills can be modified to address an endless amount of scenarios that may occur during the course of a game. Game speed is the main speed!!
What our clients say
The teachings and advice helped our daughter Olivia during her senior season. It was a rough season, but for every teardrop, we tried to remember all of Dave advice and Olivia finally started to smile instead of frown. Words can never express the gratitude for all of Dave’s help.
Working with David is the reason I’m on scholarship as a collegiate basketball player. I wouldn’t be where I am without him. David not only molded me into the player I am today, he helped mold me into the man I am.
I just wanted to tell you how much the lessons Zoey Stroud took with you in the past has really helped. They did get a new coach this year and she has picked Zoey so far to run Point Guard. She is still learning to protect the ball as she brings it up the court but has shown improvement with every game.
David has made a tremendous impact on my son Bryson. For the last few years, he’s taught him all of the valuable fundamentals that kids need to succeed at any level. Bryson’s improvement first started with confidence because David instilled that from Day 1. David’s approach made it easy for Bryson to feel confident in everything he was doing on the court. He was also instrumental in helping to improve my son’s shooting technique.
